Outside of School
I have been apart of the equestrian world since I was eight years old, riding horses helped shape me into the person I am today. I was a co-captain of the varsity equestrian team at South Lyon East for my senior year and apart of the team all four years. Being on the equestrian team has taught me a lot about how to lead a team, be supportive, and how to work with a tight schedule. The entire four years I was on the team, we did not have a consistent coach that carried on to the next year, this taught me how to quickly make a strong connection with someone so it is easier to work with them. I also learned how to adapt quickly, my senior year my horse got hurt and was unable to be used in the competition we had the following week, I had to find a new horse learn how to ride her, then show her the following week, which is not an easy task. We endedup showing and doing well given the circumstances. Through my equestrian program, I was also involved in 4H for many years where I would volunteer with a group. We helped in many different ways ranging from helping clean up parks to going to shelters and helping take care of the horses there. I have spent a lot of time helping with my 4H group over the years. I currently have a job at Shakers Bar and Grill Wixom where I am a hostess and a server. I have worked my way up to the lead hostess spot, meaning I train employees, help with opening and closing shifts, and handle money transactions. Outside of my hobbies and work I hangout with my friends whenever we get the chance.
